National Hydration Day! Are you Hydrated?

Hi! Happy Hydration Day America! It is officially Summer, and with Summer and global warming comes heat, heat exhaustion, and dehydration. Today we just want to send a friendly reminder to stay hydrated and stay safe; this Season is not one to play with in regards to health. Dehydration can be a severe condition that can lead to heat stroke, among other things.

Water may not be the tastiest of drinks if one is a heavy soda drinker, but it is one of the best ways to stay completely hydrated. Hydration is not about only drinking plain water either, though it is one of the healthiest ways for one too. Liquids, whether it be from fruits, vegetables, tea, infused water, or sports drinks with electrolytes, are great ways to hydrate as well. As the temperatures heat up, your body starts to perspire; hence you are losing water from merely sweating. To avoid fainting or falling out somewhere, remember to quench your thirst to keep yourself hydrated. National Hydration Day is about bringing awareness to the masses of the importance of hydrating one’s body, whether indoors or outdoors. So, though you may not need 8 glasses of liquid to be sufficiently hydrated, heck you might need more. Remember to take a sip (preferably water) and look out for the warning signs to avoid dehydration.
