This year focus on making commitments and take them seriously so that you can get the results you seek at this point in your life. If the old ways of doing things no longer serve you, it may be time to change your ways and expect an abundance of new outcomes. 1. New Career
a. Apply for the opportunities that you truly want by writing a thorough cover letter and a resume that matches the key words in the position you seek to obtain if you have the skills to do the job or the eagerness to learn how to do the job. Sometimes a person with an optimistic attitude is rewarded with an opportunity over those who may have more experience because people like to work with those they like.
b. If you like the company you are in, ask about pathways to a promotion or that raise you feel you deserve. The cost of living has risen; therefore, you have more reasons now than ever to ask for what you want regarding a salary increase. Request for an increase to improve your way of living so that you can be happy is nothing to be shy about; it is beneficial in boosting your mood as well as doing a great job or making yourself an essential, happy employee to the organization. This year start believing in you and your ultimate power. You have not because you ask not, so start asking for what you want.
2. Growth Mindset
a. Never stop learning how to be a better and smarter version of yourself. Life is about learning and growing every day you have breath So, instead of complaining about your lot in life, try something different to get different results. Take a course, get educated, stop sitting around watching others live, while you may be dying inside because you are wishing instead of doing. There is no time like the present to take action to propel yourself forward. Work on having a growth mindset instead of a fixed one.
3. Better Health

a. What do you believe you were placed on this earth to do? Do more things to find your true calling, get started in making your mark on this world that cannot be erased. You are powerful, you are strong, now be confident and start making a difference in your and others’ lives. Begin to implement the dreams you have always had from your mind to a vision board and then into your life.
5. Invest in Yourself
a. Save money for a rainy day, by saving as little as $7 a week or a $1 a day. Pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters count too while embarking on this money saving habit. Saving as little as $7 a week will have you gain $28+ dollars a month to pay off a debt. If you can add more to your saving pot, do so, it is just important to start saving now rather than later.
b. Treat yourself to something nice that you enjoy doing or buy something you like for yourself at least once a quarter if not once a month. You work hard and have one life to live so do some good for you. You deserve it, don’t you think? (Try a facial or spa to start)
c. Take nature walks. Think of this time as dating or loving on yourself to enhance the way you feel about you or any situation that may arise. Nature is a great environment to be in to help just about anyone relax and release stress.
d. Journal how you feel and whatever else may be on your mind at the end of each day. Writing is a powerful healer to releasing things one may be holding in. It is easy to do in the comfort of your home.
e. Get and stay organized. Planning ahead is beneficial because when things change or bumps in the road happen, you will always be able to bounce back or pivot much easier than if you had no plan at all. Be detailed how you would like each month to go and what you expect to accomplish. Having a solid plan written down helps set you up for success, having no plan sets you up for floating around achieving nothing or staying stuck.
f. Laugh more, watch movies or get around people that make you laugh. Laughter makes you feel good and is a stress reliever. A belly laugh will bring you happiness for days.
6. Break Bad Habit(s)
a. The New Year is the perfect time to get rid of old bad habits and begin to make healthier, wiser decisions that will lead to beneficial habits. An example of a good habit is to drink more water and less caffeinated and carbonated drinks. Adding more fruits, vegetables, and home cooked meals to your diet vs. eating processed foods at fast food establishments or unhealthy foods.
b. Rid your life of toxic people that do not have your best interest at heart. Get out more and start networking with people who help you shine a bright light in their world.
