July is such a vibrant month, whether indulging in blueberries daily to celebrate National Blueberry Month, National Blueberry Muffins Day, going plastic-free, or merely taking a safe vacation or staycation. July is colorful and energetic; it brings so many positive vibes with it making it a month to always look forward to and remember no matter what is going on in the world. Add watermelons to mix, and oh boy, July is prey captivating. July is also recognized as National Watermelon Month. Watermelons quench the thirst and keep the mouth-watering for more. They are low in calories and packed with antioxidants and is beyond refreshing for cooling down the body from all the hot Summer’s heat. August 3rd is National Watermelon Day, so if you did not have time to appease your taste buds this month, make sure to do so on that day next month.

Watermelon Smoothie/Popsicle

Serving Size (2 -4)


Refreshing Watermelon Popsicle for the Summer Heat
Watermelon Popsicle


(1) Medium watermelon

(1) Handful of blueberries (other berries can work too)

Ice Cubes (3 -6)

Place in blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with peppermint or basil leaves and serve, or place in Popsicle molds and freeze for later. Your choice.

One can always make a watermelon salad, including of watermelon and berries on top of some arugula, onions, and olives with lemon as your dressing. With a sprinkle of salt and pepper for flavor.
