Well, it does, diets can be quite impactful when it comes to longevity as well as living a fulfilling life, one free of pain and filled with continuous movement or flexibility. Vegetarianism is a great place to start for anyone seeking a modification to their current diet that will set them up for improving their health rather quickly.
What is vegetarianism?
Vegetarianism is the ability to abstain from consuming meat. It also includes abstaining from eating all by-products from animals for most people.
The Flexitarian Way
Last month, we discussed the flexitarian diet, and its benefits. This diet consists of eating in a flexible manner; semi-vegetarian. We also developed two recipes guides to help the flexitarian on their health and wellness journey: The 5-Day Clean-up Your Diet Guide (35 Recipe Ideas) and the Fall Flexitarian Recipe Guide which goes deeper into the topic with over 50 pages of knowledge or gems to begin a flexitarian and move forward towards a more vegetarian lifestyle consisting of no meat at all if this suits you.
Why Vegetarian?
The vegetarian diet is one of the most popular diets that have ever existed and continues to exist today. People embark on it due to religion, animal welfare, environmental concerns, health and wellbeing, affordability, etc. Some people partake in this way of living because they have to, while others do so because they want to. A vegetarian diet is known to be lower in animal protein, unhealthy fats, like saturated and trans fats, and cholesterol and is noticeably higher in fiber, vitamins, and minerals that are beneficial to the body. When consuming foods high in fiber, like most aspects of the vegetarian diet, total and bad cholesterol (LDL) tends to decrease, while the good cholesterol (HDL) increases. High blood pressure and sugar tend to decline as well. Vegetarian eating helps to remove toxins from the body due to the intake of more nutrient-dense foods that help sustain it. Diseases have a hard time thriving in a clean environment, so they don't form, or if they do, they dissolve quickly and are expelled via waste from the body. Drinking 8 oz of water a minimum of eight times daily; keeps the circulatory system churning at an optimal level.

In conclusion, there is no one way to eat for anyone, however, studies do show that people that consume more plant-based meals tend have less diseases and lower severity from diseases if they obtain them. It also shows longevity and a more fulfilling life. The thing is when one decided to change their eating habits, they must stick to a plan at first because if they don’t, they will have a harder time maintaining when times get tough. Living a certain way for years and trying to change overnight is darn near impossible unless an uncanny awakening happens, which it can but not likely. A plan must be in place to stick with a healthy lifestyle.
