Making A Difference This Giving Tuesday & Beyond!

What a year 2020 has been! Most of us have never witnessed one like it in our lifetime. For some, it has been absolutely incredible, but it has been an arduous struggle to survive for many more. December, being the last month of the year, maybe a great time to reflect on where we were pre-Covid-19, where we are now during another wave of it, and where we want to be down the road post-COVID-19. Giving may be the answer to all that the world needs at this time to bring some delight to everyday living, particularly for those less fortunate. If we have extra, perhaps we could provide more of what we have, whether it be our time, loving kind words, wisdom, money or companionship, etc.

Today, December 1st is Giving Tuesday. It is the start of what could be a great season filled with generosity and kindness towards others to help people and organizations in need. Giving Tuesday occurs every year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the day after Cyber Monday. "GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world." The idea is that one has spent lots of money on pre-Black Friday, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday sales; they can now take the time to give back to things, communities, or people who need it or inspire them somehow.

Giving Back

The simplest way to give back is via your money, time and words. Consider ways to use one or all or whatever methods you can think of to make a difference in the world. Being generous will surely make one feel better and forget about whatever they are going through in the moment. We usually give our time and a few donations of money, clothes and prayers; however, this year, with COVID-19 in the mix, we will still participate in all, but with a broader focus on cause-driven brands. Those brands that are doing something for make an immense impact on the world or their communities not just getting more dividends for themselves and not giving back to others, especially those around them. We mentioned prayer, that is a very easy way to give back, when the praises go up, supernatural blessings come falling down, yet so many people won't even try it. Will you?

Conclusion

Everyone has something to give, no matter what their living situation is. Anyone can decide to be generous, to help someone or an organization in need, especially when so many are suffering due to this pandemic—everyone's contribution matters. What will you give today, or even this month, so that you can make this world a better place for others as well as yourself?
