Climate Strike Day is being deemed as Friday for the Future (FFF). Happening tomorrow, September 20th 2019 here in America.
This is a day and time when students are allowed to take the day off from school with the permission of a parent of course in NYC to stand up for their environment. Students from all over will act as activist for this cause by using this day to step out and voice their opinions on what is happening in their world and how it is going to have an impact on their future. The NYC Mayor is standing with the students and allowing them to be that change that is needed for their future and ours. The United Nations Climate Action Summit is headed to NYC and activists both young and old believe that this is a great way to be heard. Students as young as 9 has agreed to show up and march alongside the determined yet highly motivated 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg. Greta Thunberg has been on a mission educating Politicians on the Hill of how their inaction to help with climate control will destroy our world and more so in her era.
There will be a Global Climate Strike taking place from September 20th through September 27th 2019. This is where millions of folks throughout the world that will be walking out of their jobs, senior centers, colleges, elementary, junior and high schools in protest of fossil fuel and other damage causing things to our planet. #climatestrike
If possible, consider participating in the strike because the sun and wind are the most economical ways to generate power throughout the world. In addition, we are on the verge to continue to have more hotter days than ever before and our bodies won’t be able to sustain it past just a couple of hours. This can lead to heat stroke or even death. There are so many reasons to strike for the day or a couple of hours. Standing in unity with the youth of the future, letting them know we hear and value them is one big one.
