DIY Full Version

If you would like to make your own almond milk you can do so by soaking almonds in water for about 36 to 48 hours. The water will become cloudy due to the coloration of the almonds, the skin will start to loosen up a bit and may fall off. After 24 -48 hours pour off the water. Add the almonds to a high-speed blender like a Blendtec or Vitamix or the likes and 5-6 cups of new water to the blender and blend it up for about 1 to 2 minutes (depending on your blender). Get a strainer and a cheese cloth. Place it over the top of a large glass jar to avoid the pieces of the almonds getting in your milk. From here you can add a sweetener of your choice or you can take some soaked dates, a vanilla bean and (1) teaspoon of natural vanilla extract. and 1/4 tablespoon of cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg and a pinch of ginger to make the ultimate DIY dairy free, egg free, Vegan Nog. If making your own with this method is too much for you, buy some Almond, Coconut, Cashew or Rice milk and add all of the ingredients into your blender and blend it up.

The dates need to soak for at least 2 to 4 hours, so they can blend up easily in the blender.

Once you made your almond milk or use your store purchase milk, just dump it in the blender with all of the other ingredients and blend for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour it in pitcher and let chill, top it off with a few sifts of cinnamon before taking your first sip and you are good to go. Natural Sugar and fresh milk, make for a guilt free drink this Holiday Season. If all else fails, The So Delicious Brand offers up one of the best tasting dairy free egg nogs on the market. In addition, they have a host of dairy free products that will tickle your fancy. So, if you did not know, next month (December) is National Egg Nog Month, it may be wise to try it out now so you can be a pro later, Oh and do not forget the So Delicious Dairy Free Whip Cream, Original or Lite, they are both a delight, you won't believe how freaking good it taste.

* Disaronno Amaretto, gives it that kick that many adults crave when we have our gatherings. We call our version of Egg Nog, Spiked Nog or Sweet A-Nog 😊 You can use the Di Amore Amaretto or Gozio brands too for they are a bit less expensive, but still taste great and gives that well deserved kick that is desired throughout the holiday.
