10 Ways to Simplify Your Life!

The first week of August is simplifying my life week. Did you know that? If not, this is might be the right time to begin to simplify your life. This is the time of year to declutter, unsubscribe, and destress your life of things and possibly people that are no longer of service to you. It is also a great time to enjoy some self-care. If you need to move or need an environment to think more clearly on how to progress forward in your life, this is the perfect time to do so too. Think of this week as a version of Spring cleaning, but occurring in the Summer.
Ways to Simplify
Eliminate things you do not need or use. Simply put, declutter your life.
Eliminate people who no longer serve you or at least keep them at a distance.
Plan for things you can control as best as you can so that when things pop up unexpectantly you won’t be too stressed out or out of whack about it.
Organize your space.
Place things that you usually use in a space where you can find them more easily. For example, if you vowed to work out more, have weights in a more visible area, and if you are seeking to walk more; having sneakers near the door to be ready to get moving.
Prep & plan your meals ahead of time.
To avoid overeating, not eating, or eating too late make a schedule on when you will do these things ahead of time and stick to it.
Automate
As much as possible systematize your life. This will help avoid spending extra time doing unnecessary tasks. Examples would be to set reminders on when to pay bills. Set timers when to turn A/C on and off, etc. Set it and forget living.
Avoid trying to be everything for everyone.
One person can’t be everywhere. That is impossible and unrealistic. A great way to simplify your life from unnecessary stress is learning how to say “Yes” to you and “No” to things you do no want to do, don’t have time to do, or things you simply can’t do. When you say no, don’t make excuses, and don’t guilt yourself in the process of simplifying your life.
Say no to friends and family members who drain you.
If you are unable to do it say so. Speak your mind, let people know what is in your heart. Be honest and true to you.
Save Money
Look for ways to save money. No better way to simplify your life than to streamline what comes in and what goes out. If you don’t need it or use it get rid of it, unsubscribe from it. Isn’t it time to start investing in you? Think of ways to make yourself more money. Take some time to find ways that you can invest in your own life or your family.
Pamper You
This is a great time to show yourself some self-love. This is a wonderful thing to do for your mental, physical and spiritual health. If you are able to go for a massage or some sort of spa treatment do it. If you are not able to do this; consider taking good care of yourself at your home, hotel, or resort. Drawing a bath with some lavender bath salts and bubbles is a great place to start if this is your sort of thing. A nice hot steam soaking bath or shower can be helpful too.
Gentle exercises, Stretching, yoga, meditation, Pilates, or whatever floats your fancy.
Get yourself waxed.
Go for a manicure/pedicure
Invest in having someone else do your hair.
Invest in someone else taking care of you for the day.
Invest in the Outdoors
Spending time in nature is something we always say over here at Earthy Naturals. It is quite helpful in calming the total being and just being in the moment is a perfect thing to do; it helps to destress. If it is too hot during the day, get out early in the morning and watch the sunrise or later in the evening to see the sunset.
In Conclusion
Simplifying your life is not just for physical things, but for mental and spiritual things too. Take some time this month and understand the things that matter to you. Figure out the things that you value and love to do, and spend more time living the life you want to live vs. the life that is just thrown at you and complicates living. In this life we all have choices, and we all deserve to live our best life. So, if we can see it, think it, believe it, we can indeed manifest it into fruition. Live the simplified life, not the stressed out, clutter, and anxiety-filled one. KEEP IT SIMPLE:)!
